Sandy Stephen

Top Edinburgh golf coach Sandy Stephen is a PGA qualified, Senior Resident Professional Golfer at Braid Hills Golf Centre in the southside of Edinburgh.

He has an excellent reputation for teaching young and old whether just starting out in their golfing pursuits or seasoned top players.

As well as teaching adults of all levels from fellow professionals to the total beginner Sandy is responsible for the ongoing junior coaching programme at Braid Hills. Check out the Junior Coaching page for further details.

Sandy is also responsible for the ongoing Ladies coaching every Wednesday -> 10:00am – 2:00pm

Sandy is a former European Tour player (1985-1993) and as a result has a wealth of knowledge to impart on almost anything golf.

Sandy is one of a small elite band of three people to have won the Scottish Boys, Scottish Amateur and Scottish Professional Championships – the other two being the late greats – Eric Brown and Ronnie Shade. Check out his achievements here.

Golf  Analyser
Sandy has also spent a fair bit of time developing a Golf Analyser. This was done in response to a few golfers who had intimated they would like a simple way to record their rounds of golf and then be able to view where their strengths and weaknesses lay. The analyser is an application created in MS Excel and does exactly that – it displays in graphical form where drives have gone astray, fairways missed and where missed, putting and general short game stats.
